We now have about 10 active UO players on In Por Ylem shard. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys PvP similar to 1998 with a few tweaks. Stat loss is out, pre-casting is in, only the original lands of Britannia are open (no T2A) and Trinsic and Bucs Den are red towns. You cannot ride any mounts on this shard, the stat/skill limits are normal (225/700) and there are no neon colors, alien creatures, GM PvP intervention or magic weapons that hit for max damage and add a flamestrike. There are several very active PK/PvP guilds and there are between 800 - 1300 players logged on at most times. Click Here for Info

Characters in both of our guilds, IRS (blue Order guild) and the Cult (red PK guild) are still being finished up but tax season starts soon. We have started on some preliminary collecting and have found the local citizens rather uncooperative and sometimes hostile. We have had to resort to extreme measures in many cases. More on this as things develop.

Without a leveling grind to work on I find myself enjoying logging on after work and playing a MMORPG. I didnt realize it but I had forgotten what that was like. After playing EQ, DAoC and then Shadowbane I had becomed accustomed to logging in and leveling or farming for hours on end. It was like a 2nd job. Its nice to be able to log into UO, have a capable character in a couple of weeks and then just be able to enjoy the game.

I am all for modern graphics and something new to play but, dammit, it needs to be fun. Its needs to play like a game and not a job. It needs some decent, fast paced and FUN PvP. I have read about Darkfall.... it sounds good. Too good.

Dare we hope?

(the opinions stated above are those of myself (Ozmen) and not necessarily the Cult as a whole. I am fairly sure that we do indeed have some members who enjoy games that suck biggrin.gif )
